Technical Information
Care of Hubs:-
With a Venus Hub the Rear Pawl system will let you know when it needs
lubricating ie when it is quiet it is lovely, when it purrs it is fine
and when it clacks it needs lubricating. If it is a MK3 this can be
done through the QR Skewer hole, we do a Lubrication System for Rear
Pawls, if you wish to purchase one we would need the dropout width
(cost £45.00 inc VAT + p&p). Other than this it is definitely fit and
forget. With the Front Hub unless you feel there is a problem then you can leave it alone.
(MK3 would be if purchased in the last 3 years).
HUB DIMENSIONS
ALL FLANGE WIDTHS ARE 3MM
The spoke holes are 2.35/2.4 to suit a 14 gauge (2mm) spoke.
Do not fit 13 gauge spokes.
At Royce we do not recommend Radial Lacing on our Hubs.
