To lubricate the rear pawls all a cyclist has to do is to remove the rear wheel QR skewer, place the long plunger in the non-drive side hole and inject the grease into the drive side hole. When the plunger on the near side is forced a little way out of the spindle, simply put the short plunger into the drive side hole and push both plungers top meet. This forces the grease into the pawl cavity.
